What's Old is New Again!

Antique Needle Shower from 1907

A needle shower, or ribcage shower, was equipped with exposed jets and waterfall spout, much like today's "modern" showers.  History does repeat itself!

These antique showers are rare in the Rochester area, so we are happy to have it available in the ReHouse store!
Since these showers were expensive, only in upscale homes and hotels would one have found them.
Also, because brass has always been a particularly sought out material, these showers were often sent to the scrap metal yard when the affluent homeowners would change decorating tastes and remodel. Which would explain the scarceness and rarity of these showers today! This Standard ribcage shower  (shown above in the right hand corner) is from 1907 and is brass with nickel overlay.
