Jenn lives on Cape Cod, with her kitty Mister Harley and her boyfriend Chris. She’s been papercrafting for over 15 years, and has played multiple roles in the paper craft industry as an independent store manager, designer and teacher. With a degree in graphic design she is also Copic and Ranger certified. Jenn loves to show people new and clever ideas to design their cards and projects. She has a flair for the “artsy-fartsy” without going over the top. She designs her projects in the way to inspire, but not intimidate. Jenn is eager to share her creative passions with others and encourage their artistic growth. She currently teaches in person and online classes as well as hosts Loft Art Retreats. Wicked Fun Fall & Holiday Cards with Lawn Fawn
In this class you will create 5 handmade greetings perfect for the Fall and upcoming Holidays with whimsical Lawn Fawn images! We will be using the latest products from Lawn Fawn including stamps, dies, papers, and inks. Create with Copic (artist-grade) markers, Distress Inks, glitters and other fun supplies. - just to name a few of the techniques you will play with. This class is perfect for all levels, even if you have never stamped before. Jenn looks forward to her first visit to The Doodlebug!
Cost: $30
Basic Supplies Needed: Tape runner, detail scissors, foam tape (highly recommend over foam dots especially with slider cards), quickie glue pen, acrylic block around 2x3" in size |

Ranger Distress Ink Techniques for Cardmakers with Lawn Fawn
Make your cards bright and fun! Jenn Shurkus will be sharing practical ideas for using distress inks to create colorful backgrounds for your cards. You will create 4 handmade cards for the fall and holidays while learning different Distress Ink techniques using stencils, dies, inks, and more that will set you up for endless card-making possibilities. You’ll even learn how to bring your stamped images and backgrounds to life by using distress inks as watercolors!
Cost: $30
Basic Supplies Needed: Tape runner, detail scissors, foam tape (highly recommend over foam dots especially with slider cards), quickie glue pen, acrylic block around 2x3" in size
***Specific Supplies for this class...
Paint brushes ( #2 and 3/4" flat brush) Jenn recommends the Ranger Studio Brush set if you don't have brushes yet.
Distress Inks (full pads or mini's are fine): festive berries, rusty hinge, peeled paint, fossilized amber, vintage photo, chipped sapphire, stormy sky, victorian velvet, black soot, seedless preserves. (Please let us know if you need us to hold any of these for you as they will not be provided in class)
Please note: you can substitute a Distress Ink colors for a similar one, your cards will look different than the ones taught and Jenn can't guarantee the results. It is also important for the class to run smoothly that everyone has their own supplies |
