Our Lady's Center is throwing a Thank You Reception for Fr. Canisius Tah in gratitude for the three years of dedicated service he has given to Our Lady's Center while Associate Pastor of the Church of the Resurrection in Ellicott City. Fr. Canisius regularly celebrated two of Our Lady's Center's daily Masses per week, as well as most of our monthly Latin Masses. IN THE NEWS...

3 Flame of Love Cenacles Launched at OLC!
Our Lady’s Center is pleased to announce the successful launch of three cenacle prayer groups of the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Movement. This movement is based on the church-approved revelations of Our Lady and Our Lord to Elizabeth Kindelmann in Hungary between 1961 and 1982. More information on the movement is HERE. Our first week was well attended, with 29 enthusiastic prayer warriors and more inquiries. OLC Board Member Ada Vergne and Joan Kane are co-leading these cenacles, heeding Our Lady’s and Our Lord’s request to join forces to blind Satan, helping with the salvation of souls, and thus facilitating the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Our Lady and the 2nd Pentecost! All who embark on this mission receive from Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart a Signal Grace which will unfold into many other graces as we receive it into our hearts and pass it on to others.

Each cenacle prayer group meets once a week for approximately 1 hour. Choose the Cenacle whose day and time works better for you:

Tuesdays at 10 a.m., Thursdays at 10 a.m., OR Thursdays at 3 p.m.
Sign up in the bookstore or by contacting Ada Vergne. All are welcome!

Flash Flood Watch on Anniversary of Ellicott City Deluge
It's hard to believe a whole year has passed already. We will be forever grateful for all the help our patrons and community gave us as we recovered from the damaging flood of July 29, 2016. Almost exactly one year from that fateful day, we found ourselves again under an ominous flood watch, and more than a few of us kept one eye on the radar. Significant amounts of rain did fall that Friday, although not nearly as much and in a far less concentrated span of time than before. Still, we were not without incident. One hour before our Friday evening Mass, a large branch entangled with vines, fell across our lane, blocking traffic for a couple hours and stranding some of us, including several patrons who were here for Adoration. Our very dedicated volunteer, Dave Fodel, had just been leaving when he discovered the branch had blocked his path. He spent the next two hours helping to direct cars that had turned down the lane back out to Rogers Ave. and working, with two of our stranded patrons, Gary and Keith, to move the heavy branch to the side (no easy feat as it was entangled by thick vines). Board Member Carolyn Niebauer, who had arrived just after the branch fell and was unable to reach the Center itself also assisted in directing patrons and those arriving for Mass. BGE arrived in time to cut the last vine, and our lane was opened up again around 8:30 pm. Although we had had to cancel Mass, Adoration continued on undeterred until board member Msgr. Joseph Lizor arrived to consume the Blessed Sacrament at 9 pm. and everyone returned safely home, relieved that we had once again weathered the storm.
