Gemstone Creations
We were sad to learn last month that Kameleon jewelry has closed. To say goodbye all in-stock Kameleon jewelry items (excluding Kandles) are 40% off. We have enjoyed sharing this fun jewelry with you for almost 10 years.
Ring Cracker

Nancy recently presented the Downtown Fredericksburg Fire Department with a cracker kit to remove rings from injured people and a silicone band for each member of their staff. If any other first responder unit in the area would like a kit, have them contact us and we would be happy to get one for them!
Thank You

As you have gathered from this newsletter, emails and social media posts, this month marks the 26th anniversary of the opening of Gemstone Creations. We have been so blessed to have made so many friends and participated in so many wonderful, happy events throughout those 26 years. Without you there would be no us and we are so grateful for each and everyone of you. Thank you for 26 wonderful years!
Kimberly's Carats

Traditionally, sapphire symbolizes nobility, truth, sincerity, and faithfulness. It has decorated the robes of royalty and clergy members for centuries. Its extraordinary color is the standard against which other blue gems—from topaz to tanzanite—are measured.
It's Our Anniversary!

Nancy first opened the doors at Gemstone Creations on September 1, 1992 at 524 Caroline Street. We moved to our current location almost 12 and 1/2 years ago.

We will be having our 26th Anniversary Event on Friday and Saturday, September 7th and 8th, from 10 - 5 each day. As our gift to all of you, all in-stock items will be at least 26% off on those days. Make a $100 purchase or greater and you will receive a free gift handmade by Nancy. We will also have refreshments and fun and we hope that you will stop in to say hi. We look forward to seeing you!
September Birthstone
Sapphire, September's birthstone, has been popular since the Middle Ages and according to folklore will protect your loved ones from envy and harm.  Ancient Persians believed the earth rested on a giant sapphire whose reflection gave the sky its color. Medieval clergy wore sapphires to symbolize heaven while commoners thought the gem attracted heavenly blessings. Blue sapphires range from very light to very dark greenish or violetish blue as well as various shades of pure blue.  The most prized colors are a medium to medium dark blue or slightly violetish blue.  Although Sapphire is usually thought of as being blue, it can be found in all the colors of the rainbow.
