We hope you are enjoying the end of summer ...
somewhere maybe not in the desert yet.
As we write this email it will be more meat and potatoes than usual. Earlier this year we started mentioning that we would be transitioning to a new Point of Sale System or POS. Our search for one included many hours of research, interviews, and even spending time with users and vendors of systems at last year's Houston Quilt Market. All of that time and energy was well spent because it has led us to a new system that, we believe, will be beneficial to you and help us manage our store more efficiently.
In addition to installing a new POS, as we speak, our web-meister is busy constructing the new and improved Arizona Quilts website. Our new site will have several features that will help your online shopping experience be more interactive and user friendly!
One of the great new options we really like is the ability for you to peruse our class schedule and if you see a class you'd like to take, you can just add it to your cart and pay for the class online with your debit or credit card. You will also be able to pay for classes in store with your debit or credit card. No more having to run out and get cash (although we will still take cash and checks!)
On the other hand, one of the most difficult things about this transition is that we are having to discontinue our current loyalty rewards program. DON'T WORRY - WE WILL HAVE A NEW CUSTOMER LOYALTY REWARDS PROGRAM WITH THE NEW SYSTEM!!

Therefore if you have any unused rewards and would like to use them, you will need to do so before we transition to our new system on approximately 9/27/18. Your current rewards can be used online or in the store.
As we say on a regular basis we so appreciate you, our wonderful customers, and your loyalty to Arizona Quilts! When you shop in our local store or online with us, this adds to our local economy, helps us to employ our great staff, and most of all it gives us an opportunity interact with a myriad of awesome folks, many of whom have become much more than customers...
you have become friends!

Thread Sketching 101 w/ Carrie will be held on Thurs., Sept. 20 from 9:30am-12:30pm. Explore thread sketching by outlining a fun fused image to create an interesting stitched picture with Carrie Olsen, Fiber Artist. You'll learn the basics of straight stitch tread sketching. She will share tips and tricks! Come join us. It's so much fun.

Oceanside Block Exchange w/ Karen will begin on Tues., Sept. 25th (receive material), Oct. 23rd (block exchange), Nov. 20th (project reveal). Dreaming of sitting the beach? This is a fun project for you! Our theme will be anything you see at the beach or in the water. The block size is 9 1/2" x 9 1/2" (finished at 9"x9").

Ice Crystals w/ Kelly begins on Thurs., Sept. 27 from 10am-4pm for 3 sessions. Ice Crystals was a big fan favorite at its release. This re-release features fabrics chosen by CI Kelly Grant, who will be teaching this class. The quilt used for the new cover sheet is hanging in our store. Winter Traditions is a new pattern that brings the crispness of snow into your home.

Paradise in Blooms TOM w/ Kelly begins on Thurs., Oct. 4 from 10am-4pm for 7 sessions.
Learn the basics of paper piecing and applique. Come and join Kelly for this 7 part class and cover everything from fabric selection, how to read the pattern, cutting and organization tips to piecing and assembly. There are two pattern sizes to choose from. Taught by Judy Niemeyer CI, Kelly Grant.

With so many different patterns and sizes to choose from, it is the perfect introduction to the fun of wedding ring quilts.
