This Old Printer is Impressed!
I started my first job (paper printing) in 1976 and I am still in the printing industry over 42 years later. As a lithographer most of my life, I guess you could say I have ink in my blood.
As you can imagine I have seen some pretty amazing changes in my tenure over the last 4 decades. The most dramatic leap in my industry has been from offset printing to digital ink jet printing. The changes are dramatic!
Our son, Ben, took a little different printing path and learned the trade of screen printing, which is an industry he has been a part of for more than 10 years. In the same vein as paper printing, textile printing is taking a turn towards the digital ink jet process as well.
About 4 years ago Ben called me and said, "Dad, you have to come see the new digital short-run screen printer we just got in! It's pretty cool!"
And cool it was. He printed a custom image in 3 colors on a shirt while we watched, taking less than 10 minutes!
Since I witnessed that impressive demonstration in 2014, little did I know that 2 years later Debe and I would purchase Arizona Quilts and we would be selling digitally printed fabrics here today.
The above 4 examples of these, hot off the press, digitally printed collections are pretty amazing! The color, detail, and clarity are impressive...thus my headline... This Old Printer is Impressed!

Explore thread sketching by outlining a fun fused image to create an interesting stitched picture with Carrie Olsen, Fiber Artist. You'll learn the basics of straight stitch tread sketching. She will share tips and tricks! Come join us. It's so much fun.

Oceanside Block Exchange w/ Karen will begin on Tues., Sept. 25th (receive material), Oct. 23rd (block exchange), Nov. 20th (project reveal). Dreaming of sitting the beach? This is a fun project for you! Our theme will be anything you see at the beach or in the water. The block size is 9 1/2" x 9 1/2" (finished at 9"x9").

Ice Crystals w/ Kelly begins on Thurs., Sept. 27 from 10am-4pm for 3 sessions. Ice Crystals was a big fan favorite at its release. This re-release features fabrics chosen by CI Kelly Grant, who will be teaching this class. The quilt used for the new cover sheet is hanging in our store. Winter Traditions is a new pattern that brings the crispness of snow into your home.

Paradise in Blooms TOM w/ Kelly begins on Thurs., Oct. 4 from 10am-4pm for 7 sessions.
Learn the basics of paper piecing and applique. Come and join Kelly for this 7 part class and cover everything from fabric selection, how to read the pattern, cutting and organization tips to piecing and assembly. There are two pattern sizes to choose from. Taught by Judy Niemeyer CI, Kelly Grant.
