And Sew On...  October 29, 2018

Happy Halloween!

Last year Debe and I attended our very first Quilt Market in Houston. We excitedly returned home with stacks of ideas, tips, product samples and brains overflowing with an abundance of information. When we settled into our seats on our flight home, we began to reflect on the week. We then looked at each other and said, "This needs to be an annual event!"
Now to quote Robert Burns...
"The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry".
With that said, our intentions were to be heading to Market next week. Funny how 4 months of intense training, learning a completely new process and building a new website can help change your plans! About 3 weeks ago we made the painful decision to forgo Market this year as our thought was that our brains are at maximum capacity and forcing more in would be futile!
So instead of heading to east to Houston we loaded up the Mini
and went North to Prescott for a long weekend enjoying the
cooler temps and beautiful fall colors!
After our belated anniversary dinner Friday night, we drove downtown to see the bustle of folks and activity on Prescott's town square. One of the streets we passed on the square is named Montezuma Street, but had the original title of "Whiskey Row" in the late 1800's for obvious reasons. Fun history like that is all over Prescott. As we continued cruising town on this cool October night, we turned down a street and saw a bright illumination ahead. This street lined with turn-of-the-century Victorian style houses was home to the very uniquely illuminated house pictured above...pretty awesome!

Seeing this wildly decorated house reminded me that in celebration of this monstrous holiday, all of our Halloween fabric will remain on sale for 25% off the rest of this week. This includes Moda's Dot Dot Boo, our Henry Glass Chills & Thrills that glows in the dark and a Henry Glass Midnight Spell collection with a splash of metallic. We also have two Riley Blake lines - Cats, Bats, and Jacks and Haunted House. Our Northcott collection, Elegantly Frightful, has a truly elegant look with deep purples and blacks sprinkled with metallic golds and silvers.
I think you can hear "Whooo Whooo" coming from the Spooky Vibes
collection by Wilmington Prints.
Be warned, if you wait a "spell" this ghost of a deal may vanish before your eyes!

Happy Halloween Quilting!
