Just a Few Women of Rushmore
Our very own Society CEO Diana Saathoff, Director of Philanthropy Stephanie Pariza and President Kay Jorgensen attended the Friends Alliance Conference in Washington D.C. the week of March 11. The meeting focused on the importance of partnerships and philanthropy in national parks. They were able to take this same message to our South Dakota Congressional leaders during a day on "The Hill" and reinforce how our partnership with the National Park Service at Mount Rushmore helps to preserve, promote and enhance the park for future generations.

Staff Spotlight:
Director of Retail Anna Raue
Email Anna
Director of Retail Anna Raue has been with the Society since 2012. She originally joined the team as the administrative assistant for our Rapid City office and transitioned to the Mount Rushmore Memories Airport Store's retail manager in 2014.

As the director of retail, she is overseeing the opening of our new downtown store Mount Rushmore Memories that will open at 830 Main Street May 1.

"There is nothing more inspiring than realizing you have made a customer and not just a sale," says Raue. "We take pride in our exceptional service that brings people back to us on a regular basis. With the new downtown store, we will be able to impact even more visitors to this area."

Anna grew up in Rapid City and has three children, Gabby, Gentry and Weston. Her favorite activity is watching her children at sporting events and spending time riding horses in the Black Hills.
Board  Spotlight: Lloyd Sohl
"My serving on the Board of Directors of Mount Rushmore Society, being a member of the Investment Committee and, most recently, on the Monumental Movie Campaign Cabinet comes about for various reasons: I am honored by the impact the four U.S. presidents had and still have on our democracy; I am inspired by the sheer undertaking to complete the memorial at a time when we did not have modern construction equipment; I have tremendous pride knowing this memorial is in South Dakota; and finally, I am excited by the positive impact Mount Rushmore has on our economy. Mount Rushmore is important, and the Society enhances Mount Rushmore even further by offering programs, services and items in our retail stores." --Lloyd Sohl
