We invite you to our 9th Annual Hummingbird Banding Event this Saturday, September 7th, from 8am-11am at Smith-Gilbert Gardens in Kennesaw. You'll see migrating Ruby-throats banded, measured, weighed, checked for health and released. Visit the butterfly house and stroll through the property. Plan to arrive during the early hours of the event for the most hummingbird activity, and the best chance for your child to release a banded bird.

Fiona the Tawny Owl and Monteen McCord from Hawk Talk will also be there, and for a small "mouse money" donation, you can hold her on a glove. Explore the bonsai, crevice and perennial gardens, and afterwards, do crafts, play games and more. It's a fun event for all ages!

Pre-purchase tickets at the Smith-Gilbert Gardens website before Saturday and save $5 off the cost of admission. You will also find directions and parking information. Because onsite parking is limited to handicap parking only, shuttles will be provided from nearby Adams Park. We hope to see you there!
