Shadyside was named one of the Top 100 Best Places to Live in America by MONEY!
"With its trendy shops and restaurants and its quiet residential streets, Shadyside long has been among the city's most popular neighborhoods in the city. Now Money magazine has ranked it as one of the "Best Places To Live In America" for 2019."
The rankings looked at more than 160,000 data points, including economic health, cost of living, diversity, public education, crime, and income.

JOIN US FOR RUN SHADYSIDE!
RUN SHADYSIDE, benefitting the Shadyside Boys & Girls Club, will be held this Saturday, October 5th at 8 AM.
Register to participate here, and check out all the event details here.
Join the Boys & Girls Club and the Shadyside Chamber of Commerce for a pancake breakfast after the race.
Medals will be awarded to the top male and female runners in each age group (5 year age brackets). Event takes place rain or shine.
Note that street closures will take place from approximately 7 AM to 11 AM, with some streets opening back up as early as 9 AM.

BONUS FARMER'S MARKET! While the Shadyside Farmer's Market closed up shop at the end of September, you have one final chance to see our vendors at Run Shadyside! Howl-O-Ween Yappy Hour
Bring your pup and join us for festive Fall beers at our Howl-O-Ween Yappy Hour on Friday, October 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Petagogy Shadyside!* All dogs are encouraged to come in costume, and all Yappy Hour guests will have the opportunity to vote for the best-dressed pup! The winning costumed canine will receive a Petagogy treat bag! (We ask that humans refrain from wearing strange masks or costumes that could frighten dogs.) Volunteers from Senior Pet and Animal Rescue (SPAAR) will be guest bartending! We will donate 10% of all sales made during the event to the evening's featured rescue. *Humans must be at least 21 years of age. All dogs must be on leashes (no retractable leashes) and must be comfortable around other dogs and people. Adult dogs must be spayed or neutered.

Remembering Loved Ones in November
In recognition of All Saints’ Day, which is traditionally observed on November 1, and in memory of departed loved ones, Shadyside Presbyterian Church hosts an afternoon of music and reflection. The church welcomes the community to a Service of Remembrance on All Saints’ Sunday, November 3, at 3:00 p.m. The service features composer Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem setting, sung by the Shadyside Chancel Choir. Nursery care will be provided during the service. No tickets are necessary to attend. Free on-street parking is available surrounding the church. The church is accessible to wheelchairs.
