Music in a Great Space Presents the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Junior Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh

Music in a Great Space, the concert series at Shadyside Presbyterian Church, welcomes the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra (PYSO) and the Junior Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh (JMCP) on Sunday, January 19, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. The PYSO and the JMCP return to the Shadyside Presbyterian Church sanctuary to present Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Regina Coeli,” KV 276, under the direction of conductor Earl Lee. The PYSO also will perform Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 7 and Felix Mendelssohn’s concert overture, “The Hebrides.” In addition, the JMCP will perform a cappella selections, under the direction of conductor Dr. Caron Daley. Hear the next generation of Pittsburgh’s talented musicians join forces for this special concert. No tickets necessary for admission; donations appreciated. The church is situated on the corner of Amberson Avenue and Westminster Place, only one block off Fifth Avenue. Free on-street parking is available surrounding the church. The church is wheelchair-accessible.
