Dear Scrappy Chic Customers:
As you know, we are facing a public health challenge with the outbreak of coronavirus. As a retailer, the health of our staff and customers are of the utmost importance. We would like you to know that we are frequently sanitizing surfaces in our store. We have always cleaned and disinfected daily, but we are now doing so more often. We also have our store deep cleaned every other week, professionally, and will continue to do so.

We plan to continue to run business hours as usual at this time. Our crop rooms are open for classes and crops. Our tables are 2.5 feet wide, so the person sitting across from you will be at least 5 five feet away still. Our large crop room, when full, seats 39, so it is well under the "large group" definition of 100 or more.

At this time, DeeDee is still planning to come for classes on March 20-21. If we receive any further information on that, we will let attendees know.

We kindly ask that you partner with us, in doing our best to take precautions during this time.

What can you do to help?

--If you have recently experienced any of these symptoms (fever, cough, difficulty breathing) we ask you to refrain from attending classes or shopping in-person and return after the recommended protocol (i.e social distancing, etc).
--We are all aware of the normal cold/flu season recommendations of coughing or sneezing into our elbow, regular hand washing, etc. These recommendations become even more critical during times like these and we appreciate your cooperation. By taking precautions, we hope we can reduce the risk to those in our community with compromised immune systems or other health risks.
--If you are attending classes, please wash hands prior to entering the classroom.

What are we doing to help?

--We are temporarily relaxing our class cancellation policy for those that are ill. Please let us know if you will not be attending a class. We can either save you a kit, or we may decide to re-schedule the class. If you are signed up for a crop but won't be making it, please call us and let us know. We will be happy to give a crop credit for cancellations made up until noon (1pm on Sunday) on the day of the scheduled crop.
--Staff members have been encouraged to stay home if they or someone they live with are sick. We will do our best to stay healthy and keep our customers healthy.
--Have a craft emergency, but can't make it in to the store? We offer shopping by phone/email. Give us a call or send us an email with your requests and we will call for payment. Cannot wait to receive your products? We can ship your items or give us a call, pull up out front, and we will deliver to your car.

Please know that your health and safety and those of our staff are of utmost importance to us. If there is anything we can do to accommodate you, to make your experience at Scrappy Chic more safe, please do not hesitate to let us know.

We will continue to keep you informed of any changes in store hours or policies as we make decisions or if mandated by local authorities.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call (248)426-9020 or email info@scrappychiclivonia.com

Thank you for understanding,
Renee and the staff at Scrappy Chic

P.S. Please be aware, I (Renee) have allergies-- year-round, but worse in the spring. I have had them for most of my life and know the difference between allergies and other sickness. If I am here and appear less than well, it is allergies. If I suspect it is anything else, I promise I will stay home as well.
