With the requirement of masks across most places within our state, it has sparked a resurgence in the age-old skill of sewing. Throughout the last several months, we have been amazed at how many folks are finding our store for the very first time. While on their quest to locate different options for their newfound mask-making endeavors, many sewists are pleasantly surprised when they come to our store. When dawning our doors for the first time, these crafty clients introduced to thousands of bolts of beautiful 100 % cotton fabric that opens up a myriad of options for mask makers. As mask crafters have been creating at a breakneck pace, their skills and creativity have never been more necessary until these recent unique times.
While we continue traveling down this new mask road, it becomes more apparent that masks are not only a fashion statement, but also an extension of our personalities. When I first thought of this newsletter concept, I thought it might be fun to show a close up of each team member and have you guess who it might be. After looking at the pics, it became clear that would not create much of a challenge. My focus then turned a corner to now highlighting each of our personalities by the masks we wear.
If you are on Facebook, we think it may be fun for you to share a pic of you in your favorite mask so we can celebrate our creativity together.

Fiber Arts - Photo Transfer w/ Deb will be held on Mon., July 20th from 10am-4pm. If you have a favorite photo that you want to turn into a piece of art, well here’s your chance. You will be shown how to print your photo onto fabric, the steps to set the ink so it will last forever, and then create a unique wall hanging. You can incorporate trapunto, thread painting, beads, whatever you want. The sky is the limit. Just let loose and be creative!

ABC's of Quilting w/ Susan will begin on Wed., July 22nd for 5 sessions from 9am-12pm. This is a great class for beginners or those who might want to freshen up their skills. Even if you have taken her class & would like to re-visit this, stop in and Susan can customize something just for you!

Free-Motion Quilting 101 w/ Carrie will be held on Thurs., July 23rd from 10am-3pm. Join Carrie and learn the basics of free-motion quilting on your domestic sewing machine: from choosing thread, batting, and needles to stitching on your quilt top. Carrie will guide you through a variety of designs, such as stippling, loops flames, etc. Learn free-motion fundamentals to create beautiful quilts while having free-motion fun!

Let's Twist Again w/ Nanette will be held on Fri., July 24th for 2 sessions from 9:30am-3:30pm (2nd session is July 31). Choose from a variety of projects in "Let's Twist Again" and learn to make pinwheels using the Twister Tool. Once you learn this technique, you can make table runners, place mats, wall hangings and even a quilt! Come on let's twist!

Sew Together Bag w/ Nanette will be held on Mon., July 27th from 9:30am-3:30pm.This cute little bag can hold all of your little sewing notions for a class, cosmetics for travel or anly little items of your choice. Do not let the 4 zippers scare you - the are super simple to sew in!

Holiday Sewing Tree w/ Nanette will be held on Mon., Aug. 3rd for 2 sessions from 9:30am-3:30pm (2nd session is Aug. 17th). Learn to machine applique by making this fun "Happy Holidays" sewing tree that is perfect to hang for the holidays or to give that special quilting friend as a gift! It's only 20"x31" and the color choices and fabrics are what make this class fun!

Graceful Baughs w/ Martha will be held on Tues., Aug. 4th from 10am-3pm. You need never fear a curves seem again! This seasonal wall hanging features just enough ease curves for you to master this advanced skill and want to do more! Try your hand at making the smaller project in class. You'll leave with the expertise to make the larger wall hanging on your own!

Fiber Arts - Stupendous Stitching w/ Deb will be held on Thurs., Aug. 20th from 10am-4pm. Create stunning textured fabric art to display on your walls, use in home décor and make into fabulous accessories. Combining hand embroidery, beading, decorative machine stitching and couching, this technique is fun and addicting. The fabric choices will help you make this an exciting and fun fabric art piece!

Happy Hauler Bag w/ Nanette will begin on Thurs., Aug. 21st for 2 sessions from 9:30am-3:30pm (2nd session is Sept. 4th). Use your favorite panel to create this large tote bag that is 20" tall, 18" wide and 12" deep - so you can carry just about anything. Learn some different techniques for making this bag that are easier and less time consuming...and don't be afraid of the zipper!

Intertwined w/ Susan will be held on Sat., Aug. 22nd for 2 sessions from 10am-3pm (2nd session is Sept. 19th). Come strip with me...no really - learn to use the Strip Tube Ruler or get reaquainted to create a fabulous quilt! No pre-work required! Come and have some fun with me!

Sun Catchers Table Runner w/ Martha will be held on Mon., Aug. 24th from 10am-3pm. The easiest of the curved pieceing projects. No set-ins or fitting curves together. Make the table runner in class - then let's talk about designing a larger quilt for you!

Jolly Twister Gnome w/ Nanette will begin on Fri., Sept. 11th from 9:30am-3:30pm (2nd session is Sept. 25th). Use a Twister Tool to create this whimsical winter gnome scene. Sizes range from 14"x18" to 67"x85" (with many in between) depending on the size of the Twister Tool you choose! Learn how to keep the twists all in order to create this cute holiday project!
