Some of you may remember a while ago when I posted the above picture of this quilt made with Moda's Ombre Confetti Dots collection. Racheal, our daughter, pieced this beautiful quilt using the Ombre Blossoms pattern
by Krista Moser.
I'm highlighting this quilt again because because we have just received this much anticipated follow-up collection to the Ombre Confetti Dots called Ombre Fairy Dust Metallic that includes several ombre colors with a beautiful silver overlay of metallic stars. I'm sure the the question will be asked ... is the Ombre Blossoms pattern still available, and the answer is a resounding , yes, we have them in stock!
We think it will be a magical addition to whatever project you have in mind!

If you remember our newsletter in July, we highlighted Studio E's Sew Kind collection by Charlotte. This wonderful group included a doll panel with a carry bag, two additional friends, and Charlotte's touching story printed on the back of the bag. We highlighted this collection on Monday and by Thursday, the doll panels were sold out! We have just received a fresh new bolt of the panels if you missed out in July. Walking Foot 101 w/ Carrie will be held on Sat., Oct. 3 from 10am-3pm.It's time to get your walking foot out of the ditch! Join Carrie as she shares her favorite quilting tool: The Walking Foot. You will make a six-patch quilt sampler. You will learn the basics of starting and stopping quilt lines, how to plan stitching paths that minimize back tracking, marking methods, as well as a variety of unique designs, all with your walking foot! No free motion allowed!

Cork Crossbody Bag w/ Nanette will be held on Fri., Oct. 9th from 9:30am-3:30pm. Have you ever sewn with cork? This class gives you the opportunity to try sewing with cork while not needing to use a large amount. This versatile little bag can be made in 2 sizes and will hold just about everything you need including your cell phone and a small wallet. It can be made with all cork, all fabric or a combination of the two.

Free-Motion Quilting 101 w/ Carrie will be held on Sat., Oct. 10th from 10am-3pm. Join Carrie and learn the basics of free-motion quilting on your domestic sewing machine: from choosing thread, batting, and needles to stitching on your quilt top. Carrie will guide you through a variety of designs, such as stippling, loops flames, etc. Learn free-motion fundamentals to create beautiful quilts while having free-motion fun!

Running with Scissors w/ Nanette will begin on Mon., Oct. 12th from 9:30am-3:30pm for 2 sessions (2nd session is Oct. 26th). This great little tool tote will hold all of your sewing and quilting equipment from scissors to rotary cutter, tape measure, thread, rulers and more. It even has a handy little pressing pad. It measures about 9"x12" and zips all the way around to keep those important tools in place while traveling to classes. It is made with fabric, vinyl and mesh and can be customized to meet your needs.

Fiber Arts - Thread Play w/ Deb will be held on Thrus., Oct. 15th from 9am-1pm.
A great techniques class where the student learns how Deb creates images with thread, sew through layers of fusible web, add highlights, shadows and dimension to quilts. Deb has lots of tricks that help you feel more confident about doing free motion quilting, breaking all the rules while adding color and design with thread.

Fiber Arts - Creating Fabric Beads w/ Deb will be held on Thrus., Oct. 15th from 1:30pm-4:30pm.
Make your own beads for jewelry or mixed-media embellishment using fabric, glass beads, decorative threads, acrylic medium, paint and wire-all your personal style-bright, earthy, sparkly, elegant, muted, etc. Make about 10 beads in class and be inspired to make variations of your own!

Sugarplum Stockings w/ Nanette will be held on Fri., Oct. 16th from 9:30am-3:30pm. Be ready for the holidays and have fun making personalized stockings for your friends and family. Make one or several fat quarter friendly stockings with a variety of choices for cuffs and embellishments. These are easy to make so have fun choosing how to personalize each stocking.

Graceful Baughs w/ Martha will be held on Mon., Oct. 19th from 10am-3pm. You need never fear a curved seam again! This seasonal wall hanging features just enough ease curves for you to master this advanced skill and want to do more! Try your hand at making the smaller project in class. You'll leave with the expertise to make the larger wall hanging on your own!

Fiber Arts-Photo Art Mixed Media w/ Deb will be held Thurs., Oct. 22nd thru Sat., Oct. 24th from 10am-4pm. In this 3 day class you will learn how to take any photo and create an amazing piece of fiber art! Using a photo of your own, you will learn how to create your template and transfer it to fabric. You will be learning a fun way to applique bringing your photo to life on fabric! And once your foundation is in place, let's layer! Mixed media is in everything I do, so here's your chance to learn how!

Fiber Arts-Embellishing Your Project w/ Deb will be held on Thurs., Oct. 29th from 10am-4pm. Come and have fun adding some texture with fibers. Deb will show you how to add different fibers like sari yarn, rattail, thread painting and more to create your piece of art.

Revealing the Mystery of the One Block Wonder w/ Deb begins on Thurs., Nov. 5th from 10am-4pm for 2 sessions (2nd session is Dec. 3rd). Though it looks complicated, this spectacular kaleidoscope quilt is easy to sew: the fabric does all the work! These beautiful quilts are made using only ONE print fabric for the body of the quilt and border - or you can use a different coordinating print for the border. Deb will teach you her time saving tips and tricks to create this "seemingly challenging" quilt.

Holiday Aprons w/ Nanette will be held Fri., Nov. 6th from 9:30am-1:30pm. Choose from three of our holiday apron panels to make a fun apron to wear during the holiday season... or you might want to give it as a gift. They are quick and easy to make, so you might be able to make more than one. It's a wonderful way to spread holiday cheer!

Sun Catchers Table Runner w/ Martha will be held on Sat., Nov. 7th from 10am-3pm. The easiest of the curved pieceing projects. No set-ins or fitting curves together. Make the table runner in class - then let's talk about designing a larger quilt for you!

Take a Stand Bag w/ Nanette will begin on Mon., Nov. 9th from 9:30am-3:30pm (2nd session is Nov. 16th). This tote is available in two sizes. Either size can be used as a companion to the Running with Scissors Tool Case as a stand. The larger tote will hold an iron or small sewing machine. Bag has lots of pockets with zippers and opens wide for easy access!
