Bird Watcher News    May 17th, 2022
What's happening with Avian Flu?
Concerns are dwindling as we move into the warmer months without any songbird cases of HPAI in Georgia.  A few Bald Eagles and ducks have been the only ones affected in our state. Scientific experts and official organizations like Georgia Audubon are NOT recommending removing bird feeders. Cleanliness is always encouraged, and using quality birdseed and suet products without cheap fillers that birds toss out is the key to healthy feeding stations for our bird friends. Remember to also clean and refill birdbaths often.

Hi, BirdWatchers!

Good news! After two long years, most 40lb bags of Cole's birdseed (exclusive to Bird Watcher Supply Company) are back in limited amounts. Supply chain issues, staffing and equipment shortages have prevented Cole's production since Spring, 2020. We are happy to once again be able to carry 40lb bags of Nutberry Suet Blend, Blue Ribbon, Sun Meats, Blazing Hot and Hot Meats, along with 32lb Oil Sunflower. Safflower, Cajun Cardinal and Special Feeder 40s, are still not available. Safflower is in short supply partly due to the war in Ukraine.

Where are my hummers? Do not worry! The males are busy guarding breeding territories, while females are nesting and will soon be raising young. They don't have time to hang out at feeders, or need to fatten up for migration like they will do late July through September. Keep those feeders clean and full for occasional visits for now.

We are still looking for a few special people to join our flock! Sales Associate positions are available at our Kennesaw, Roswell and Marietta (East Cobb) locations--a fun job, wonderful customers and a 30% discount! You must be able to lift 50lbs. Stop in and fill out an application, or send your resume to info@birdwatchersupply.com
