All Souls Day Memorial Mass
Wednesday, November 2nd, 12:00 noon
We shall remember and pray for our loved ones who have passed on and especially remember the souls of all the patrons and benefactors who supported OLC through their time, talent and treasure throughout these past 48 years. The official name of this Mass is the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed, a day of remembrance. On this important day we Catholics pray, celebrate Mass, visit cemeteries, and give alms in memory of those who may be in Purgatory, in hopes that their souls will be released to Heaven. Be sure to have the names of your loved ones added to our book of remembrance which will be placed on the altar at Mass on All Souls Day.
33 Days to Morning Glory Study Group
Thursdays, 1:00 - 2:30 pm
November 3rd - December 1st

The next 33 Days to Morning Glory group will meet at OLC on Thursday afternoons in preparation for Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary which will take place on December 8th, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception at 12:00 Noon Mass in the OLC Chapel. This wonderfully popular and effective preparation method was devised by Fr. Michael Gaitley, MIC based on the teachings of St. Louis de Montfort. It is a simple way to be spiritually renewed and deepen our relationship with Mary, our spiritual mother.
To register and for information on ordering your materials, contact Theresa Fortunak at 301-910-8394 or email her HERE.

Afterwards, all are invited to the Conference room for Cookies, coloring and an opportunity to get photos with St. Nick!

Gala Benefitting Mary's Home for Expectant Mothers

Friday, November 4th at Ten Oaks Ballroom.
Mary's Home provides a safe, pro-life home environment and holistic program of services for expectant mothers in crisis and their children in need. This is their annual fundraiser, and it will be a lovely event. The registration deadline is Thursday, October 27th (today!) and there is still room. After today, the link on their website will be removed, however, you can email Abigail Pfau directly to inquire about attending, and she will do her best to seat you. Seating is limited and cannot be guaranteed after the RSVP deadline.

Marsha Kessler, the very energetic coordinator of the Howard County chapter of Project Linus Blanket Making comes regularly to join the Blanketeers of OLC. She is shown on the right after one of our recent blanket blessings in the OLC Chapel. With Marsha are some of our very dedicated volunteers (l-r) Mary Ellen Cote, Maria Wittlin, and Carolyn Niebauer.
Dave & Joan Maroney of Mother of Mercy Messengers had an excellent turnout for their talk on the Illumination of Conscience. We're hoping to have them back again very soon to reprise the talk for all those who couldn't make it the first time. We cannot wait to have them back again. The book they recommended, "Global Warning" (with an "n") has arrived, for those who expressed interest in getting one. See below in the Bookstore section.

Why Shop at OLC?
You can feel good about shopping here! We have been trying for some time now, for both ethical and quality reasons, to source most of our items from the USA, Italy, Portugal, Colombia, Equador, Brazil, South Korea and various other countries.

Our products are produced by Catholic companies, religious orders, apostolates and local artisans. We trust our vendors, and they stand behind their work. Buying from us supports them too, and they need it.

OLC is a non-profit 501c3, and all revenue generated goes toward supporting our little shrine and ministry of bringing people to Christ through Mary.

While Amazon will likely not miss your support, we are very, very grateful for it! Every First Saturday Mass is offered for the intentions of our patrons and benefactors, and this means you!

For those items you do need to purchase on Amazon, please use AmazonSmile and select "Our Lady's Center" as your charity. We will receive a donation from each sale. Thank you! - OLC Staff
