The Seven Sorrows Devotions
Weekly on Tuesdays & Fridays at 11 am
followed by our regular rosary at 11:30 pm and Mass at noon.
Join us as we honor Our Lady of Sorrows. Learn about Our Lady of Kibeho and the promises associated with this devotion, as well as the connection of Our Lady of Sorrows to the founding of Our Lady's Center. Materials will be provided. We also carry a number of items in the bookstore related to this growing devotion, including Rosary chaplets made in Rwanda.
We pray this Rosary to learn to suffer with love, as did the Blessed Mother. The Seven Sorrows Rosary leads us to understand suffering, sins, and sorrows. As we pray with our Sorrowful Mother, we begin to feel empathy for the suffering Our Lady, Our Lord, our neighbors, and ourselves. Learn more about it HERE.

Eucharistic Adoration during the March for Life
Friday, January 20th, 12:30 pm - 7:30 pm
The 50th Annual March for Life in Washington DC takes place on January 20th. Whether in person or virtually, hundreds of thousands will take part, people of all walks of life who share the deep conviction that the sanctity of all human life must be defended for a just culture to exist. If you are not physically able to attend the March, please join us in spirit by coming to the OLC chapel that day anytime between our 12:00 Noon and 7:30 pm Masses to pray before the Blessed Sacrament for the cause of Life, that hardened hearts will be softened and eyes opened to the beauty and dignity that each human life inherently contains, from the moment of conception to natural death. If we see with the eyes of Christ, every single human life is infinitely valuable.

Changes on the Board of Directors
We must announce that Board member Diane Andrews has chosen to step down from Our Lady's Center's Board of Directors at the end of last year to spend more time with her family in Florida. However, she will still be coming to OLC when she is in town. Diane has done an outstanding job for many years decorating the Chapel for Christmas, as well as preparing the gorgeous, bountiful baskets for our Annual Raffles, and she assures us that she will continue to make her talents available for us in these areas.

The Board joyfully welcomes it's newest director, Patricia Zumbrun. Pat has been a regular attendee here at OLC for close to 20 years, and she has a deep devotion to Our Lady. In fact, her mother actually dedicated her to the Blessed Mother when she was born, and she dressed her only in blue and white until Pat was seven years old! Pat has three children and five grandchildren and is retired. Among a number of positions, she worked for Catholic Relief Services for 20 years. Her secretarial skills are very much needed by the Board at this time, and we feel the Blessed Mother's gentle influence broguht her to our attention. May we always be open to her gentle promptings.
