Keep an eye out for a special email very soon with more details, and spread the word. Contact Manager Christine with any info or materials you may have.

IN THE NEWS...

It was a Gorgeous Day for a May Crowning!
Fr. Gerard Lynch led the May procession on a beautiful spring day, and Leonora Ellrod had the honor of crowning the Blessed Virgin statue in our Grotto. She is a recent First Communicant and looked lovely in her gown. Everyone processed up and placed their flowers before Mary to the hymn of Ave Maria, courtesy of Sherry Hohl. Afterwards, everyone was invited in to celebrate with cake!

An Enthusiastic Welcome for Author Ted Flynn
An estimated 70 patrons and visitors came to hear author Ted Flynn speak on Navigating the Treacherous Spiritual Shoals of Our Times & Finding Peace. The feedback we have received has been uniformly positive, calling the talk straight-forward, informative, surprisingly hope-filled, and empowering. We sold most of the books that Ted brought, and he stayed late into the evening signing them and answering questions. Manager Christine's mother, Sylvia brought with her an original copy of "Thunder of Justice, which she bought roughly 30 years ago at OLC, and Ted happily signed it for her. Ted's good friend and OLC patron Mary Jane Myers was able to attend and was overjoyed with his visit. We are looking forward to having him back sometime soon, as well as his wife, Maureen Flynn, author of the popular book, Global Warning (with an "n") which was recommended by Dave and Joan Maroney when they spoke.

The Flynns' books are in stock at OLC. All materials are also available on their website, Signs.org, along with their magazine, Signs and Wonders. The question of magisterial approval of materials is addressed on their About page HERE, where they respectfully submit final authority rests with the Holy See and that nothing, as Pope Paul VI stipulated, contravenes faith and morals.

A Possible Miracle for the Benedictines of Mary!
We Carry Their Gregorian Chant CDs,
and their Wonderful New Children's Book Just Arrived!

The faithful have been flocking to Missouri ever since word came out the remains of the founderess of the Benedictine Sisters of Mary, Queen of the Apostles, Sr. Wilhelmina Lancaster, appear to be incorrupt!

This amazing event has coincided with the release of an adorable children's book, "Brides of Christ," about this same order. It is published by Sophia Press, and they are selling like hotcakes! We have also for many years carried a number of Gregorian chant CD's produced by the Benedictines of Mary, recorded at their motherhouse called Ephesus. Come discover some truly heavenly music.

Sr. Wilhelmina has a local tie, as she was originally an Oblate Sister of Providence here in Baltimore before founding her new order. Read more about her HERE and HERE.
