Winter Warblers
that visit feeders--Fall through Spring!
Yellow-rumped Warblers (above and below) are common winter residents that visit our feeders for suet when insects are scarce. Nicknamed 'Butterbutts', they have bright, yellow rumps, along with a bit of yellow on their sides.

Pine Warblers (below) are year-round residents, but come to feeders more in the colder months. Males are a bright, sunny yellow, while females are much drabber brown with hints of yellow. Pines love mealworms,
suet and occasionally
sunflower meats!

The Orange-crowned Warbler (below) is a drab, gray-green warbler with yellow undertail coverts. The orange crown on its head is rarely seen unless agitated. They have a broken eye-ring and lack wingbars.
