Just Giving You a "Hearts Up!"
2024 Grateful Hearts Capital Campaign
A special letter from our President
will be arriving in your mailbox/inbox soon.

Along with sales from the bookstore, OLC relies on donations from you, our generous and dedicated benefactors. So as not to lay a burden upon you, we only run our capital campaign once every three years. The 2024 Grateful Hearts Capital Campaign is coinciding with our 50th Anniversary. Donors will be funding much needed upgrades to and beautification of Our Lady's Chapel!

If you are new to OLC, please consider becoming a vital part of the Center's continued success. Thank you for paying it forward and ensuring the continuation of OLC's mission of providing a place of grace for our extended Catholic community and ever striving to gently lead people to Jesus through Mary. Let's give OLC some TLC!

Why Pray the Stations of the Cross During Lent?
Praying the Way of the Cross enables us to empathize with Jesus’ suffering. It gives us strength in times of suffering, instills compassion for those who suffer, reminds us of God's abiding love, and gives us a sign of great hope as we look forward to the Resurrection. Learn more HERE.

FIRST SATURDAY - March 2nd

Guest Speaker • True Story!
Elizabeth Smith, local author of "The Coin Flip"
Saturday, March 2nd, 12:00 noon
Following 10:30 am First Saturday Mass & Devotions.
Image
As we approach St. Patrick's Feast Day, come hear an amazing TRUE story of the incredible act of faith of an Irish Immigrant from his very own great-granddaughter! Elizabeth Smith is a local author who we met at the Maryland Catholic Women's Conference. She will be signing copies of her wonderful, engaging book after her talk.

In 1857, Joe Quigley and Jim McDermott emigrated from Ireland to America, wanting to become priests. Neither able to afford seminary, they agreed to flip a coin and have the loser work to pay the winner's tuition. When Joe lost, he was devastated. "Why, Lord, did I lose the coin flip?" His struggle to accept God's will is an incredible story illustrating how God works through ordinary people to do extraordinary things!

Holy Hour of Reparation
February 9th, following 12 pm Mass
Come join us on the second Friday of each month in reciting aloud these vocal prayers in reparation for sins committed against the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus asked his disciples, "Could you not watch one hour with me?" Perhaps the comfort that the angel came to give Our Lord was the message of so many souls down through time who would come to be with him and make reparation. Booklets provided
