"The Face of Jesus" Movie
7 pm at Columbia AMC Theater
INFO. & TICKETS HERE!
Can we see the face of the invisible God? Do we know what our Savior looked like? The film The Face of Jesus explores two acheiropoietic images—sacred cloths not made by human hands—the Shroud of Turin and the Veil of Manoppello, as well as the most extraordinary depiction of Jesus painted by human hands: the Vilnius image of the Merciful Jesus. Filmmakers take the audience on a cinematic journey to the tomb in Jerusalem from 2,000 years ago, to Rome, Manoppello, and San Giovanni Rotondo, to discover what our Savior looked like. After the main feature, learn about the devotion to the Holy Face with a bonus featuring U.S. clergy who detail the power of the ancient devotion and why it’s gaining traction among the faithful in modern times.

Join Us for a Very Special Mass at OLC
celebrated by the freshly ordained
Rev. James Lancelotta!
Tuesday, June 24th, 12 pm
Our very own, Jamie Lancelotta, currently a transitional deacon, will be ordained at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen in Towson on Saturday, June 21st. He has requested to our delight that he celebrate one of his very first Masses in the Chapel at Our Lady's Center! We are deeply honored.
Dcn. Jamie is the great-nephew of our founder, Francis Lancelotta, Sr., and he is one of the fruits from the many years that you, our patrons, have spent praying for vocations to the priesthood.
Please come if you can and then celebrate with us at a reception in the Conference room, offer Fr. Lancelotta your congratulations, and receive a blessing from him. Another priest will be hearing confessions following Mass. (Photo courtesy of archbalt.org).

You are invited to a film debut at OLC:
"Crimes Against Humanity"
presented by WAKEUP - Women Against the Killing and Exploitation of Unprotected Persons
Monday, June 30th, 2025, 7:00 pm*
Q & A to follow.
*Please note that, due to the graphic nature of this film, it is not suitable for children.
Missy Smith, founder of WAKEUP and tireless pro-life advocate, is suing the US Government in a class action lawsuit. Her film, "Crimes Against Humanity" is a hard-hitting, tell-all documentary which explains the premise for the lawsuit. Missy says that you too can become a plaintiff in this lawsuit which she believes can bring down the abortion industrial complex and end the horrible exploitation of the innocent. More in formation HERE.
For over 50 years, countless well-known pro-life advocates have spoken at Our Lady's Center. Many thousands of our patrons of have tirelessly supported and prayed for the cause for life and the legal protection of the unborn. Your prayers are absolutely critical as we seek to right the wrongs and end the horrific human rights violations that are happening in our country and in our world.

Habemus Papam Live Streamed!
The news of white smoke broke during 12:00 Noon Mass at OLC, and so patrons were invited down to the conference room to await the announcement of our next pope. How exciting it was to share in that special moment together with our celebrant, Fr. Cornelius Nyukyu, a Dominican sister from Mount de Sales, and a number of our patrons who had been praying so faithfully for the Cardinals to be open to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, for a smooth election process, and for a holy pope to be elected. God bless Pope Leo XIV! Let us all continue to pray for his health, safety, stamina and faithful, obedience to the Lord.

A Lovely May Crowning!
OLC continued our long and treasured tradition of having a recent First Communicant crown the Blessed Virgin Mary statue in the Mary Month of May. Phoebe Tan did a lovely job honoring the Blessed Mother. She was joined by her family, including her sweet mother, Gloria, who was just welcomed into the Catholic Church this Easter vigil. Gloria discovered OLC last year as she followed the promptings of the Holy Spirit leading her toward Holy Mother Church. She was welcomed with open arms and is filled with joy and zeal. It was a joy to celebrate the beautiful day with Gloria, her husband Ray, Phoebe, and their other two children, Noelle and Perzivel.

Excellent Turnout on a Special Evening!
Thanks to the sixty plus patrons who came out for our special Mass and talk the other evening. We always enjoy when Kevin Wells can come speak, and we were overjoyed that he wanted to bring with him a good friend and zealous priest, Fr. Larry Swink. Several dozen of Kevin's latest book, "Coached by the Curé" published by Scepter were sold and signed by Kevin. We have a few more left which he signed for those who could not make it, so email or call us if you want one!

In Memorium - Robert J. Lancelotta, Sr.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Our Lady's Center bid farewell this past month to a former President, Robert J. Lancelotta, Sr., son of our founder, Frank Lancelotta Sr., beloved husband of Donna, brother of Theresa Pirone, and uncle of current OLC Board member, Nick Pirone. Robert is pictured with Donna. Please keep her and the whole family in your prayers.
Current OLC President, Jack Kissane, his wife Grace, and Secretary/Treasurer of the Board, Carolyn Niebauer, attended the funeral and ensured that Our Lady's Center was represented with a beautiful flower arrangement. Jack served with Robert on the OLC Board and remembers his dedication and diligence in caring for the Center, especially through the time of the fire in 2001. OLC is honored to be named as a recipient of donations made in Robert's memory, as this Center is truly a beautiful part of his life's legacy. Robert's obituary can be viewed HERE.

No Longer Holier Than Thou!
Christine, our manager, is inordinately excited to be able to once again employ one of her very favorite headlines, thanks to the recent, much needed repairs to our lane. Large expanses have been repaved, and the numerous car-jarring potholes have been filled in. Patrons need no longer fear traversing our lane and parking lot. Most of you know our location is a bit wild and remote, so potholes come with the territory on this silty soil. Still take the entrance of Rogers slowly, as that deep swale is necessary for drainage. One day the County, pray God, will finally address that area, to regrade and broaden it. And, unlike the pothole repairs which we must fund, may the County absorb that cost.

Definitely Not the Coolest News...
On another note, Our Lady’s Center has suddenly incurred another major expense in having to replace a significant part of our HVAC system which failed just as we approach the heat of the summer months. Replacement units and ductwork are currently being installed outside and in the attic, with the help of our dedicated patron, Stacey Friedberg. We have been praying after all Masses to St. Joseph the Worker for his intercession in locating and reallocating the necessary funds to cover this costly expense. Donations are welcome, as are purchases in the bookstore, the proceeds from which support OLC. Above all, your fervent prayers are most efficacious and appreciated!
