HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM OLC!
Our Lady's Center will be CLOSED on New Years Day, Thursday, Jan.1st, the solemnity of Mary, Mother of God.
It is a holy day of obligation, and we will all be attending Mass at our own parishes. OLC will be open regular hours all other days of the week, including First Friday & First Saturday.

SNOW in the Forecast?
Call 410-461-5066 and press "5" for up-to-the-minute weather related announcements or check Facebook before heading out.
We will be open if possible and prudent, employing a trusted snow clearing service whenever necessary. We do not follow Howard County closings.

Year-End Giving: The Gift of WARMTH!
We must replace another failing component of our HVAC system, this time the one that heats the Bookstore. This unit is housed below the Center and has been operating since we rebuilt from the 2001 fire. Replacement involves removing a large portion of the store floor in order to change out the unit, so it will be an involved process. We could definitely use any financial gift you can give! Thank you for your generosity, and God bless you!

Eucharistic Adoration at OLC
during the March for Life

Friday, January 23rd, 12:30 pm - 7:30 pm
The 53rd Annual March for Life in Washington DC takes place on January 23rd. Whether in person or virtually, hundreds of thousands will take part, people of all walks of life who share the deep conviction that the sanctity of all human life must be defended for a just culture to exist. If you are not physically able to attend the March, please join us in spirit by coming to the OLC chapel that day anytime between our 12:00 Noon and 7:30 pm Masses to pray before the Blessed Sacrament for the cause of Life, that hardened hearts will be softened and eyes opened to the beauty and dignity that each human life inherently contains, from the moment of conception to natural death. If we see with the eyes of Christ, every single human life is infinitely valuable.

CANDLEMAS, Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord, Feast of the Purification of Mary,
AND the Flame of Love Feast Day!

Blessing of Candles at 12:00 Noon Mass
Candlemas is traditionally celebrated on the 40th day of the Christmas-Epiphany season.
You may purchase unblessed candles beforehand in the Bookstore and bring them upstairs to Mass to be blessed. Candles must remain UNLIT to avoid wax drippings in the pews and on the carpet.

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 3RD:
St. Blaise Feast Day Blessing of Throats
at the 12:00 noon Mass
Join us for Mass and have your throat blessed with candles. This tradition dates back to the 4th century after St. Blaise, a bishop and martyr saved a boy choking on a fishbone. We invoke St. Blaise for his protection against any physical ailment of the throat. Let us also pray for protection against any spiritual ailment which may find vent through our throats: profanity, cursing, unkind remarks, or gossip.

St. Nicholas Day 2026!
Bill Babcock, who serves on the OLC Board of Directors, had very large shoes to fill as he stepped into the role of St. Nicholas. Bill relieved our President, Jack Kissane, who had delighted children, parents and shopping patrons alike for well over a decade teaching about this wonderful saint. Mrs. Ginny was once again St. Nick's illustrious assistant. St. Nicholas Day is one of our favorite traditions, complete with chocolate gold coins left in the children's shoes for them to find!
