ANNOUNCING:
A Special SUNDAY Mass & Installation of a Blessed
Image of Our Lady of Sorrows of Castelpetroso!
Sunday, March 22nd, 2:30 pm
All are invited to witness the Installation of this blessed image into OLC's Chapel.
We ask that those planning on attending register so we can gauge refreshments and parking. Registering does not guarantee you a seat. Come early. We will open by 1:30 pm for shopping.
This image of the fully-approved Marian apparition was blessed at the official shrine in Molise, Italy and brought back for OLC at our request by the mother of a seminarian who discerned his vocation here.
This blessed image of Our Lady of Sorrows of Castelpetroso will be beautifully framed and installed above the organ in the Chapel here at Our Lady's Center.
The Our Lady of Sorrows of Castelpetroso apparition is closely tied to OLC, because our founder Frank Lancelotta’s mother and grandmother were present in Castelpetrosao during the 1888 apparitions which were witnessed by over 500 people including priests and the bishop himself!
We believe that OLC is the direct recipient of graces that flowed from that apparition. Our Lady spoke not a word but knelt with her hands outstretched in a posture of offering, showing herself to be perfectly united to the Divine Will in accepting her Son's sacrifice for our redemption.
The installation of the blessed print in this chapel will take place at a special Sunday Mass on March 22nd at 2:30 pm and will be celebrated by our founder’s own great-nephew, Fr. Jamie Lancelotta. The Mass fulfills Sunday obligation. The grounds will then be sprinkled with water from the miraculous spring at the shrine in Castelpetroso. Finally, all will be invited to celebrate with us in the conference room with Italian hors d’oeuvres and treats.
Learn more about the apparition on the posters in the lower level hallway and also in our commemorative historical booklet written by our manager which is available in the Bookstore.

A Note from Our President, Jack Kissane
The patrons of Our Lady’s Center are AWESOME. It has been quite the challenging start to the New Year with snow, ice and freezing temps which caused closures and lost revenue, on top of the necessary closure of the Bookstore for a whole week to replace one of the HVAC systems. Ice and snow removal and structural renovation costs added to the burden. Nevertheless, this being Our Lady’s Center, we were once again reminded of the love and generosity in the hearts of our patrons. Without any sort of formal appeal, many of you stepped up, some in a very significant way, to help with the associated costs. Your donations are truly a blessing and we thank you with a very grateful heart.
Additionally, the labor for the HVAC install was a gift from Michael Pfau, owner of Triinty Homes; the HVAC system was provided slightly above cost, along with the install by Stacey Friedburg of PMC Contactors; and Tim Brantley, owner of Brantley Plumbing did an outstanding job removing and replacing our hot water tank set up resulting in more space in the kitchen, all at reduced pricing. Board members Bill Babcock (who oversaw the project), Wes Daub and Carl Kleinschmidt, as well as our Mass server Pete Schenk, all volunteered their skills and time to help complete the repairs quickly and efficiently. Along with your generous donations and the Blessed Mother's intercession, OLC has overcome her latest challenges. Our beautiful bookstore is cozy warm, completely restocked, and ready for the busy Spring season. On behalf of the Our Lady's Center Board and staff, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
On a personal note I would like to thank everyone for your mountain of prayers. My surgeries to replace two hips have been a wonderful success with little complication or pain. Surgeons are good but not THAT good. I know it is the wonderful prayers you offered for my healing that had the greatest effect. Know that I have prayed for each of you in return and thank you for your blessed intercessory petitions. God bless you!
