Thank you, again to our Buford customers for your years of friendship, loyalty and support. It's been very sad to clean out that store these past weeks, especially as the hummingbirds and songbirds were still flocking to the feeders outside. I left one hummingbird feeder going until next week and tossed a bunch of seed and peanuts on the ground. I sat in my car Saturday at dusk watching them, along with migrating Common Nighthawks flying overhead and had a good cry.

**NEW STORE HOURS**
Fall is always our slowest time of year saleswise.
Birds are eating more natural foods (and less at our feeders), many breeding birds have dispersed, and folks just have a lot going on--football, festivals, travel, etc. Like last year, to consolidate hours and save on payroll and utility bills, we will be closed on Sundays starting September 13th. We will be open Sunday, 9/6 from noon until 5pm, and on Labor Day, Monday, 9/7 from 10am until 5pm. Come see us and check out our fabulous Fall seasonal merchandise. Inventory can vary by location, and the Bigfoot garden flag is going fast!

Fall migration is just ramping up. Warblers, buntings, tanagers, orioles and more are already starting to trickle southbound. But late August and early September are peak times to see migrating Common Nighthawks! These amazing flyers are easily seen at dusk, streaming over open fields, parking lots, highways and more. So keep an eye out--it can be magical when dozens are flying over! Click here for more info and to hear their unique calls.
