Tick Tock--It's a Contest!!
Go to this website, and check out all the entries in the challenge shown on the blog, form August 30...scroll down, it's worth it...all the way to the bottom...there are probably 20 or more samples for inspiration...and then read the article below!!
We are having a "Holiday Clock" event...come in and purchase one of the 19 clocks Update-we have four left!! we have, Tim Holtz -Style. Create a holiday delight inside the clock, return the clock to us, for viewing, by the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and we will have some impartial judges (none of the staff!) The winner will receive one of the new blue Big Shot machines, plus a $50 gift certificate to the store (How great if you won this and made it a gift for someone!!)
Upon returning the clock, you will get the price of the clock restored to your account as a credit (That makes the clock FREE!!) Plus, the clock is yours to take home after December 15, to use in your home decor.
Right, that is not a Christmas clock...but its just an idea starter.
Please remember, we only have 19 of these "contest entries" available. We are happy to do phone orders with cc payments, shipping will be extra, but you must get the clock to us in a timely manner!! (see what I did there?) |

We're Feeling Lucky!! Hope You Are, Too
Come in and "Spin the wheel!" We are starting on Tuesday, right after Labor Day, and we are doing this for the months of September, October, and November (with the exception of any Bag Lady days!!)
Spend at least $25 and you get a chance to spin our very wonderful wheel. Behind each slot there will be assorted goodies. I am pretty sure everyone is a winner!! |

(They are sooo cool that all I can say is Brrr-rrr-rrr !!)
Next week...
Beginning on Monday, September 20, I will be doing various demos in the store of the Gelli Plate, using assorted acrylic paints and inks. I have some fun stuff planned and you will definitely be seeing a bit of it in the videos!!
I am scheduling the demos for Monday, Wednesday, 11:30 am- 2 pm each day...come in and check it out.
Beginning on Monday, September 29, and lasting the entire week, we will be elbows-and-whatever-else-deep in the world of Distress...and there will definitely be special deals!! We will show the Distress pens, stains, paints, inks, reinkers, glitter, and stickles. The newest item, Distress Sprays, will definitely be part of the demos, but we won't have them on special deal status as they are just arriving in the store now.
Demos for this week will be on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, at 11 am. |

Classes
a few notes...
All classes will need a minimum of three people in order to run, and we will give you a 72 hour notice if we need to cancel, in which case, you may take your refund as store credit or cash/cc refund (usually in the same form that you paid in.)
If you need to cancel a class on your part, here's the deal...
If it is a class taught by us, people here at the store, you need to cancel before 72 hours time, in which case you will receive a refund. Cancellations after this time period will receive the class supplies, and whatever is part of the class handouts. No refunds for cancellations after 72 hours before the class starts.
For visiting teachers, from far or near, there is a no refund policy for all classes. You may give it to a friend to use, if you wish.
All class info, including photos of the projects, will be in the calendar of our website, which you can find here.

Silhouette Ongoing Learning...
We now have a Silhouette group that meets here once a month and they have their own blog. All the info about meetings, what to bring, when to come, can be found there. If you would like to join our group, there is no fee, and you can bring your Silhouette machine and laptop, as we have wifi in the store. Find the Silhouette Blog here.
Note for September--there will be no meeting this month. We will regroup in October, and a notice will appear shortly.
