Hi all!
I am back from my holiday (more on that later), and ready for CENTRAL KANSAS QUILT SHOP HOP to start this Friday, October 2 at 9 a.m.  We will be open until 8 p.m. Friday evening.  Same hours on Saturday, and then also OPEN SUNDAY, from 11 a.m til 4 p.m.

This year I used the kits that will be available for purchase in all the 10 participating shops, to make a HUNTER'S STAR QUILT.

Click here for our QUILT KIT information and EXCLUSIVE FABRICS for this year's Shop Hop.
My HUNTER'S STAR QUILT starts with 10 bundles of 10" squares available only during Shop Hop this weekend's Central Kansas Quilt Shop Hop.  Click here to see all the quilts.
This month's CHARM is inspired by my quilt.

You can get my Hunter's Star charm FREE in the downtown store with a single purchase of $50 or more during the month of October.  Previous month's charms may still be available with a $100 single purchase.

Exclusive CHARM HOLDERS also available.  Clichttp://www.sewnatural.net/nl.asp?s=charm+holderk here for selection.
The exclusive Shop Hop fabric comes in two colors - Cream & Pearl.

The PEARL is used in the 10 unique shops' quilts, and a 10" square is in each kit, along with 4 colored squares for $4.99.  If you collect all 10 kits, you'll have the equivalent of a Layer Cake plus 10 background squares.

A few months ago, Marti Michell was in my store and purchased a small piece of solid red fabric.  Later, I mentioned that Randy & I were going to be in France in September to see the big quilt show, Patchwork Europe.  She told me that she was making a quilt for a special exhibit there and that the small piece of red solid was actually for that quilt.  And I got to see it!  :)

The special exhibit was actually 10 quilt artists invited to do a modern interpretation of an antique log cabin quilt.  Marti was a good choice!  She was also teaching there with an interpreter!
Patchwork Europe is spread among several different villages, and in several venues each.  I kept thinking, "these quilters would go nuts to see the big PQG show all on one floor at Century II!"  hahaha  But it was really fun and interesting.  Randy said they all looked just like my customers!  Quilters really are the same around the world. :)
We went from France to Germany, then Belgium, then Amsterdam and finally Dublin.  We did lots and saw lots.  There was inspiration everywhere!  Unfortunately, it was often too dark to even see if my camera was in focus, but you get the idea!
If you are filled with inspiration, or just weighted down with too many UFOs, plan to join us at a retreat this winter.

We currently have openings in both the January 15, 16 & 17 HYATT RETREAT as well as the February 19, 20, 21 HYATT RETREAT.
The total cost is $299 and includes 2 nights (double occupancy), 3 days of sewing (room available 24 hours), 4 meals over 3 days (we are always stuffed!). Friday & Saturday's meals are served right in our sewing room! Sunday Brunch is in the Hyatt's Harvest Restaurant, just the other side of the lobby from our RIVERVIEW BALLROOM.

This is a "do what you want" retreat. The Hyatt is a very nice venue. You don't have to lift a finger (literally - they'll carry everything for you!), all the food magically appears, and dirty dishes magically disappear! We are super close to the elevators to the sleeping rooms (with 2 comfy beds, or let me know if you want a room all to yourself for a bit more), and around the corner from the coffee shop plus easy access to the wine bar! :)

Some people choose to come in on Thursday night. Just let us know if you are interested in this option.

Call for details, and $50 will hold your space. 316-284-2547
Shop Hop starts this Friday October 2nd.  It is FREE!

And you might win a $500 Shopping Spree, so check out the details here!

Be sure to vote for your favorite "Where's the Wheat" mini quilt while you Hop!

FREE Thank You GIFTS for everyone who visits all 10 shops during the 3 days and turns in a completed passport.
While Charlotte's Sew Natural has special extended hours this weekend, please note, that Charlotte's Bargain Fabric & Eau Lily Boutique will only be open their regular hours.
