Tuesday morning necklace making camp
July 26. Drop in 10 am-noon. $22 class fee.
Taught by Sylvia, with assistance from Teresa.
Learn to use metal stamping tools as you create a one-of-a-kind necklace incorporating your own stamped pendant, charms and vintage elements on a leather cord.
If you've never used punches to stamp into metal or other surfaces, this class is a great way to start! After some tips from Sylvia, you'll practice using our metal stamping tools. Next, you will personalize a metal disk or rectangle with a word or phrase that has meaning to you or your loved one. Then select a couple more elements to add. We have dozens of new and vintage parts to pick from, so each necklace will be unique. Put it all on a leather cord and there you have it....a one of a kind necklace!
This fun, noisy project will take about an hour. We ask that you reserve a spot in advance, then arrive at your convenience that morning. We'll be happy to take drops in if space allows. Ever wished you could draw beautiful words in your scrapbooks and friend's cards? Admire all those modern calligraphy chalkboard signs on Pinterest, but don't know how to start? Then this beginning hand lettering workshop is for you! Join us at FOUND, as sign painter Britney Leal guides you through this fun evening of playing with lettering.
Note: This is just the first of many collaborations we hope to have with Britney. Here's a bit about her. She was raised in Chelsea, then earned an Associates in Graphic Design and has been spreading her love of art around A2 ever since. Her hand painted signs around town include The Wafel Shop, Silvios Italian Ristorante, labels for Mindo Chocolate - and she's been painting the chalkboards at Zingerman’s Roadhouse for 4 years and counting! She also has her own small business painting signs for weddings and events, many at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms. She is a self taught painter with a infinite love for lettering!

Vintage Paper Play: Card making with Laurie Longo.

This is something we've been wanting to do for a long time - and you're invited to join us! During this relaxed evening of "vintage paper play", Laurie will bring her voluminous stash of vintage papers and share the method of making art cards that she developed as the artist behind Stories & Divinations. You'll take home several one-of-a-kind completed cards. Laurie's unique take on storytelling through collage promises to make this an interesting evening.
