We are so pleased to share this enchanting picture of Mademoiselle Chantelle, costumed by Patti Williams. The pattern for this exquisite ensemble was featured in Doll News, Winter issue with a feature article by Deb Hoffman on the fabulous Barrois dolls. We are so proud that Darlene Lane's Barrois appeared on the front cover in this ensemble made with a different fabric with the costume and pattern by Mary Ann Shandor. For the ensemble pictured on the right, expert seamstress, Patti Williams chose a beautiful antique peach silk satin with ecru hand made lace adorned with a stunning pocketbook and parasol. What a sight to behold!!! Thank you, Patti for allowing us to share this photo with our friends in honor of World Doll Day.

Pictured above is Mademoiselle Chantelle with doll artist Mary Elliott of Porcelains by ME, a renowned doll studio in Australia. Mary's breathtaking doll and outstanding costume was a winner at the DAG convention held a few weeks ago in Sydney, Australia. The doll won BEST in the competition in the Professional Section for Authentic Reproduction in “Lady Dolls – Fashion”. This outstanding doll created from head to toe by Mary is such a wonderful testament to the talent and passion dollmakers have and share. The ensemble worn by Chantelle is our exclusive Dollspart pattern by the very talented Mary Ann Shandor.

It is the camaraderie and friendship that makes the doll world so special. Just take some time to visit the French Fashion Sewing Group at https://groups.io/g/FrenchFashionDollSewingClub and witness first hand the sharing of ideas, talent and knowledge that this group enjoys every day. These doll lovers, doll artists and doll seamstresses serve as a testament to the continuation and celebration of World Doll Day started by Mildred Seeley in 1989.
Enjoy and savor the day as you reflect on not only, the beautiful and breathtaking dolls sitting on your shelves and your love for them, but also, the wonderful friends and special relationships our doll community has brought all of us!!
