October was busy here at the farm with the mums, gourds and other fall staples finding new homes. And when it wasn't raining, we enjoyed hosting our fun family events. Now our Pumpkin Palooza activities are put away for the season, and we congratulated Ron Wallace of Rhode Island with another winning pumpkin (1,800+ lbs!) at this year's Southern New England Giant Pumpkin Grower's weigh-off event. Fall is still in the air but here at the farm we are switching gears to the gentle scent of pine and the shimmer of red and silver.

Now we are in full tilt preparing our Holiday House for the winter holidays. Come on by when you're ready to catch the holiday spirit! Our Open House will be held Thanksgiving weekend when we officially start selling all the fresh greenery--trees, wreaths and custom-made pieces by David. We love this weekend each year, when the community joins us in a festive atmosphere.

And mark your calendars for December 8 for a new holiday event this year-- Deck the Trunks and Food Truck Follies. Use this link to sign up to participate in the trunk trimming contest or just come on by and enjoy the decorated trunks, have a bite from one of the several food trucks that will be on hand and simply enjoy the holiday atmosphere.

We hope to celebrate together the warm beginning of this year's holiday season.
