GET YOUR BRITCHES ON!
Fitting the pants pattern is not as difficult as it may seem. A good fit through the waist, hip and crotch are critical, but really isn't that hard to achieve. Bring your favorite pant pattern, new or old. You'll need to bring your cardboard fitting mat and all your sewing supplies. Call the store to sign up or sign up on website. You will be emailed a detailed supply list upon registration. We will not be sewing during the class. RSVP Space is limited.

Scrappy String Quilt Block
Are you one of those quilters who can't stand to throw away fabric--even those long narrow strings?! Do you save everything --various lengths of left-over backing, pieces trimmed from previous projects, wide swaths of selvage with those cute little sayings on them-- thinking that maybe you will find a use for them... someday? This is someday, and this project is custom made for you!
In this class, we will use foundation paper as a base for putting those random size scrap strips to good use! Go super scrappy or organize your scraps to create a color scheme of your choice.
Make as many string quilt blocks as you want and blast those scraps to create a string quilt! The string block finishes at 8" square. This quilt uses scraps as narrow as 1 inch up to 3 inches and everything in between!

Weaving with Martha
Weaving luxurious hand towels If you have ever wanted to try weaving but did not want to invest in a loom this is the class for you. You will be using all of my equipment. I will have the loom already set up and ready for you so when you come to class all you have to do is pick the color for your hand towel. You will learn the three basic techniques of weaving so that by the end of the class you will have an understanding. I have a loom in the weaving process. By the end of the class you will have a beautiful hand towel to take home that you created yourself. The three techniques you will be learning are decorative hem stitching, traditional tabby weaving, and manipulating warp threads to create a decorative accent lace look to your hand towel. This class is perfect with the soap making class I teach to create special gifts for Christmas, which is just around the corner, or for that dear family member or friend that has everything.
