A challenging message-This year's speaker is Andy Giessman.
|
|
|
|
|
Andy is the founder and Executive Director of Addison's Walk Institute for Christian Studies in Scranton, PA. Addison's Walk seeks to engage the academic community at the crossroads of faith, reason, and culture. Andy's passion is to help high school and college students see how Christianity is reasonable and how it speaks truth into life's toughest questions.
Andy and his wife, Becky, have served in youth and college ministry since 1997. He has spoken at hundreds of camps, schools, retreats, and churches and he has served as a youth pastor, lead pastor, and college recruiter. Andy holds degrees in theology and philosophy, has completed his coursework for a D.Min at Talbot Schoo of theology, and is currently a professor of philosophy and theology at Marywood University and The University of Scranton. The Giessmans live in Scranton.

Addison's Walk is financially supported by churches and friends. Andy is available for speaking engagements throughout the year.
He is also on the search for the world's greatest 'big' sandwich (hoagie, sub, grinder).
Andy's talk will consist of arguing for a cohesive Christian worldview that is both theologically sound and intellectually rigorous. We will discuss how belief in Jesus really does makes sense and some simple steps we an take toward a coherent Christian worldview.
