Springfield Days Fun Run 5K & 1 Mile Run / Walk
An event to kick off Springfield Days Weekend!
Join us this Saturday at the Springfield Days Fun Run 5k and 1 mile run/walk. This is a great community event for all paces and abilities! No registration fees, no prizes -- just friends, family and fun! Hang out at Metro Run & Walk afterwards for refreshments. race. Strollers and dogs are welcome.

Safety Tips
This is a self-directed fun run in a local neighborhood. We will have a marked course with few or no volunteers. Maps will be available. Keep to the sidewalks and yield to all car traffic.
Schedule of Events
Note there is no packet pickup. Just show up race morning to check in.
8:00 a.m. - Arrive, check in, check out the course map
8:25 a.m. - Move to the Fun Run start area
8:30 a.m. - Fun Run starts
9:00 a.m. - Finishers start returning -- post-race munch and fun
9:30 a.m. - Event courses are closed
10:00 a.m.- Event over -- Metro Run & Walk opens for business
Location and Parking Information
The event will start and finish at Metro Run & Walk, 7289 Commerce Street, Springfield VA 22150 -- just up Commerce St. from Old Keene Mill Rd. Park in the Springfield Plaza lot near Metro Run & Walk.
Course Information
The 5K and 1 Mile course will be in the Crestwood neighborhood. Expect hills in the 1st half of the 5K. We will have maps race morning, and the course will be marked with directional cones and mile markers. We will not be recording times, but we will have a race clock. We do not anticipate having course volunteers or a water stop.
