Kathy's sister Maureen asked if she could do some senior pictures of our niece, Riley,  on the farm. Maureen has a great eye for pictures and came up with this photo among others. Here is my caption:

"Sure, we grow great fruits and vegetables, but at Harvest Valley Farms, our main product is the next generation.

The question is: "What kind of bread does the farmer eat?" Well, here it is. In my opinion this is the healthiest bread you can eat. Using sprouted grain changes the bread in several ways:

1. The gluten and protein is easier to digest
2. It increases the availability of nutrients such as iron, zinc, phosphorus. and magnesium
3. Contains More Fiber and Whole Food–Based Nutrients

Plus, I like the fact that it is higher in protein. It also tastes good. And it's on sale this week!

The sweet onions are ready to pick. We pick them as soon as the bulb has reached a reasonable size. I sliced some on a hamburger last week and it was fantastic! Whatever you put it on, it makes everything taste better. These are the same onions that will become Pennsylvania Simply Sweets, after they are tested for sugar and dried.
