Dear Friends,
UFDC '19 in Nashville was phenomenal. It was great seeing fellow doll lovers and friends who shared in the convention. It was our pleasure to promote the talented artists making our Huret, Barrois and Jumeau at Publisher's Preview. Above is a picture of the display which featured dress patterns for sale viewed on dolls and costumes made by so many talented artists and seamstresses. And in the salesroom....
THE HURET WAS FRONT AND CENTER IN POPULARITY!!
Someone once told me that it takes at least three years for a new product to gain its following and popularity. Well, our HURET Jointed Body debuted three years ago at UFDC '16 and it has really taken the doll world by a storm. It was so exciting to see so many UFDC sales booths selling dolls, ensembles, accessories and so many things for
ALL THAT IS HURET, BARROIS and JUMEAU.

It was a Dollspart dream for years to create our Dollspart Jointed body. The vision of LOUISE HEDRICK and expertise of ROBERT TONNER helped us get the wheels in motion to make this dream a reality.
BUT, we will always be beholden and especially thankful to SHERYL WILLIAMS, DAG Doctor of Dollmaking for her tireless time, energy and expertise in its creation. The body was designed from Sheryl's own antique blown kid Huret body. The perfection of this unique, authentic, and very popular body is with heartfelt thanks to Sheryl!
So many doll artists whose work was shown at our UFDC display are deserving of thanks and I believe they know how much their work is appreciated. BUT, in the forefront, much appreciation from the very beginning of this long, difficult process is owed to the renowned doll artist and dear friend par excellence, DARLENE LANE for her unending devotion and tireless dedication to each new head mold. The success of the Huret, Barrois and Jumeau is credited to Darlene's high standards. She accepted nothing less than perfection in each new head mold created and debuted under her auspices, painting techniques and guidance. Thank you Darlene!
If I burdened anyone with too much reading, I apologize but the excitement over this trilogy of dolls inspires me to express the thanks and appreciation that both of these individuals so rightfully deserve. I know the entire Doll World is thankful to them as well.
