Lisa Currie
Sunflower Charms is from the book Home Sweet Home by Blackbird Designs.
This quilt is hand appliqued with bright batiks, hand quilted with #16 Perle Cotton by Lisa Currie.

Lisa's thoughts:
Blackbird Designs are some of my favorite quilt patterns.  Hand applique calms my mind and the bright colors bring me joy.

Joyce & Maurice Gross
Tuffet
Joyce's thoughts:
To be honest, nothing big inspired me as soon as I saw the fabric I liked it, but was already working on so many projects that I didn't want to add another applique or quilt top to the Boot Camp Project.  We needed a foot stool.

We are still waiting on Maurice's thoughts, but like any good man he has chosen to keep his thoughts silent!

Pam Kells
Barn Star Quilts
Quilted by Clara Schmidt

Pam's thoughts:
Quilt designs used on Barns(usually with paint) to show to others that a Quilter lives on this farm!

Kathleen Furr
Designed and made by Kathleen Furr.

Kathleen's Inspiration;
I used paper foundation to piece 1"x2" flying geese by Bonnie Hunter.  I used almost the whole 1 yard piece of the "Plug-Ugly Fabric", the floral.  I pieced the flying geese from lots of little scraps given to me and many of my own.  The beautiful water color floral, my Plug-Ugly, actually inspired me with the spring colors.

Susan Geist
Made and designed by Susan Geist

Susan's Inspiration:
The material looked like mermaid ladies on a sand color background.  I thought of a hat and dress you would were to the beach with mermaid accessories.

Andrea Knoll
The Weekender
Quilted by Just Sew Fickel, Stacy Fickel

Andrea's Thoughts;
This is a lap quilt with four fabrics.  I like the fact that I could put this quilt together in a weekend.

Barbara Dickhut
Slice of Summer from Kimberbell's, Hello Sunshine.  The embroidery is from a Bella Box Bonus.
Barbara's inspiration;
The fabric is happy, and nothing makes me smile more than sunshine in the spring.

Dana Pfanenstiel
H-Bag

Dana's thoughts:
I thought the fabric lent itself for a bag.

Anne Strasser
Bucket Hat

Anne's Inspiration:
Bucket hat inspired by getting ready to go camping.  I need a hat to wear in the fishing boat.

Kalen Hahn
Four Corners Apron from Vanilla House Designs

Kalen's Inspiration:
I was looking for a pattern to use for this challenge.  I found this one that I had purchased probably in 2007 from Betty's shop in Cimarron.  I decided it was time to use the pattern!  I had the fuchsia fabric in my stash and I thought it was more striking to use the challenge fabric as the accent fabric.

Rosalie Divelbiss
Corner Play from Pretty Darn Quick 3-yard quilts from Fabric Cafe
Quilted by Stacy Fickel

Rosalie's thoughts;
Sometimes it pays to cut corners!

Sarah Dumler
Scrap Patch Paddle wheel by Thimbleberries

Sarah's inspiration;
I've always wanted to do this Thimbleberries pattern and was inspired by the line to finally make this pattern with this fabric.

Kathy Leone
Just Dresden
Made and designed by Kathy Leone

Kathy's thoughts:
I love to do Dresden so that was the idea.  Flowers, double Dresden with stems and leaves.

Rachael Finley
Psychedelic Giraffe
Quilted and Designed by Rachael Finley Creation

Rachael's Inspiration:
This pillow is for my 2 year old granddaughter.  The colors match my shoes that she tried to confiscate from me.  I had decided no matter what the fabric was, I was going with the design already in my head inspired by my cousin who loves giraffes.

Judy Powell
Golden Light
Pieced by Judy and quilted by Ruth Stice.

Judy's thoughts;
A square block by a pieced block (which has the challenge fabric in it).  Corner to corner it makes a diagonal X.  I used the challenge fabric on the back.  The golden material fit perfect with the challenge fabric.  I made the pattern because I wanted something I would complete.  I sewed for one week on it.

Jama Furr
Bunny in a tea cup/bag.

Jama's thoughts:
Ugly bug fabric cut into strips and rug hooked into burlap.  My own pattern for the rabbit, tea cup, and saucer.

Nancy Sapp
Folded Pinwheel Table Top

Nancy's Thoughts;
The fabric reminded me of pinwheels blowing in the wind, so I decided to make a pinwheel table top.  I wanted the pinwheel to stand out so I went to YouTube and found a folded pinwheel pattern by Vanessa, the Crafty Gemini.  I used fabric from my stash as background/backing and it is quilted by myself.

Wendy Holmes

Wendy's thoughts:
A happy quilt for the car or couch to make someone smile and keep them warm!
