~ Mix of ANTIQUE YELLOW / STEEPLE WHITE 3/1 ~
Jennifer Smedley has used old Village Paint inside and out in this beautifully restored
1757 house. She’s in the process of painting the exterior of the house (on hold due to winter).
Below is a picture where she mixed 3 parts Antique Yellow to 1 part Steeple White.
Mixing our Colours is perfectly acceptable as we use the same pigments they used in the old days. You won’t get any crazy Colours you might find with modern day paints. So go for it! Lighten up with Pure White, Colonial White or Steeple White. Each will give a wonderful lighter shade. Experiment in small Dixie Cups. Did you know we have 4 ounce Jars in the Vintage Colours?

Kitchen below is more of an English Cottage Kitchen as a true Colonial Kitchen would be a bit impractical. Lol…. But don’t you just love this Kitchen painted Pure White and so cozy!
