We are so excited to announce a 10 Day Pilgrimage to Italy in October of 2027 which will be led by Fr. Jamie Lancelotta in conjunction with OLC! Fr. Jamie is the great-nephew of our founder and has designed a wonderful pilgrimage for us! Along with stops at many major holy sites in Italy, our journey will include a visit to the beautiful Basilica of Our Lady of Sorrows of Castelpetroso, where an approved Marian apparition took place in 1888. Fr. Jamie’s grandmother and great-grandmother were present, according to records written by our founder! Just recently, we installed an image of Our Lady of Sorrows of Castelpetroso above our organ which had been blessed at the Italian shrine.
We will also visit the stunning, ancient, perfectly preserved medieval mountaintop village of Fornelli, the Lancelotta ancestral home and the site of the original Marian chapel after which OLC was modeled.
Inquiries can be directed to our Manager Christine Cunningham.

The beautiful Basilica of Our Lady of Sorrows of Castelpetroso! This is a bishop-approved apparition site. Amazingly, the bishop himself witnessed it. The first stone was laid in 1890, just three years after the Apparitions! It was completed in 1975, one year after Our Lady's Center was founded, largely on the donations from families who emigrated to the USA.

The Lancelotta Family Chapel in Fornelli, Italy dates from the 1500's. Fr. Jamie's great-grandparents' names, Gioachino & Elvira, are inscribed above the door as they were benefactors in a 1950's restoration. Elvira Lombardi Lancelotta was born in Fornelli in 1885 and was three during the Castelpetrosso apparitions. Devoted to the Blessed Mother, it was her dream that one of her sons would become a priest. Fr. Jamie is truly an answer to her prayers!
