"The Weight of a Mass"
Don't Forget Your Spiritual Father!

Father's Day is just around the corner, so here are some ideas to let your spiritual father know how much you appreciate all that he does for you:

-Have a Mass offered for him!
-Purchase an image of the Sacred Heart for your home and ask him over to dinner to bless it! Learn more about this devotion here.
-Get him a gift certificate to Our Lady's Center...Did you know priests get a 20% discount? Give him some "fun money!"
-Send a card with a spiritual bouquet of rosaries, Masses, novenas, & other prayers.
-Give a gift basket with Mystic Monk Coffee, a CD, a book, and a great Catholic mug!

Traditional Latin Mass & Potluck Dinner

Exciting News! This month's Traditional Latin Mass will be offered by soon-to-be Fr. Joseph Langan, a wonderful young man who will just have been ordained three days before! This will be his FIRST Mass in the Extraordinary Form and our friend Fr. Cibelli, who is visiting from Rome, will be there to assist him!

Please join us for a sung High Mass with Gregorian Chant at 6:30 pm on June 24 with another fun potluck/reception for our new priest following in the conference room.

We'll provide a cake, but please bring something to share if you can! Please stay to celebrate with us and take advantage of a great chance to ask Father questions or make a new friend.

If you'd like to sing with the schola, come early to rehearse!

Answering Our Lady's Call

We'd like to take a moment to thank our two newest volunteers!

William Plesser is our new Friday Night altar server and Mary Ellen Cote is now caring for our liturgical linens. We are so grateful to have such generous people offer their time and gifts to us. We are very blessed!

We would also like to thank those who have volunteered their time laundering linens in the past, especially Ann Boland, Nikki Henson, and Carolyn Niebauer. May Our Lady smile upon you all!

Family Story Time & Coffee Hour

Our Lady's Center is starting a monthly Kids & Moms (or Dads!) Story Time and Coffee Hour during the Summer. Come to the conference room on Friday, June 27 at 2:00 pm for free Mystic Monk Coffee for the grown-ups, juice for kids, a great book and a little craft!

For June we'll be reading
The Weight of a Mass, by Josephine Nobisso and illustrated by Katalin Szegedi. Set in a fairy tale kingdom, this wonderful book will teach children and adults alike about the true "weight" of a single Mass.

What Do You Think?

Our Lady's Center strives to be a resource for spiritual growth in our community through the Masses and devotions offered in the chapel, books and gifts in the shop, and through events in the conference room.

To that end, we'd like your input on what kinds of events you'd like us to make available to you first! Would you like to attend a Bible study, book club, Consecration to Our Lady, classes, seminars, day trips to local shrines, and Catholic speakers or author book signings?

Click the link here to fill out our survey and let us know what you'd be interested attending!
Want to Give Back to Our Lady?

Our Lady's Center is fueled by the generosity of its patrons. Many support the work of the Center financially, but gifts of time are also a tremendous blessing to us. Please prayerfully consider helping in one of these areas:

-Help with sending bulletin messages to the local parishes regarding OLC events. This is a very easy, email-based job that really increases our exposure.

-Regular weeding of the gardens, especially during the warm months with lots of growth.

To volunteer, please call 410-461-5066 or email us!

"O most holy heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore you, I love you, and with lively sorrow for my sins I offer you this poor heart of mine. Make me humble, patient, pure and wholly obedient to your will. Grant, good Jesus, that I may live in you and for you. Protect me in the midst of danger. Comfort me in my afflictions. Give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs, your blessing on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death. Amen." --Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus from www.Catholic.org
